Job Description

NimbusNexus is seeking a motivated and reliable DevOps Engineer to help streamline our development workflows and automate our infrastructure. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining CI/CD pipelines, managing deployment environments, and contributing to the reliability and scalability of our cloud-based platform. This position is ideal for someone with 2–4 years of experience in DevOps or SRE-like roles, who enjoys working with automation, containers, and cloud-native tooling.

Responsibilities

  • CI/CD Pipelines: Build, manage, and optimise continuous integration and delivery pipelines
  • Infrastructure Automation: Use tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Helm to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration
  • Monitoring & Logging: Set up and maintain observability tools to ensure platform reliability
  • Cloud Environment Management: Maintain containerised infrastructure (Docker/Kubernetes), ensure secure and consistent deployments
  • Security & Compliance: Support basic security practices (secrets management, access control, patching)
  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers to improve delivery speed and system stability

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, or system administration
  • Proficiency with Linux and scripting (Bash, Python, or similar)
  • Experience with CI/CD platforms (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes (or Docker Swarm, OpenStack Zun, etc.)
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Ansible
  • Basic understanding of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.)
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (OpenStack preferred; AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus) -Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
